How We Met
We first connected with Adam, the dedicated owner of Craftwood Creations, through a recommendation from a fellow craftsman. Adam was in search of a reliable timber supplier to support his business, renowned for its unique handcrafted wooden furniture. He began following us on social media and send us an inquiry through email.
From our initial conversation, Adam impressed us with the exceptional durability of his furniture products and we knew that our timber would be the perfect material for his products.
Sales Process
After more discussion, we were amazed how he had thoroughly researched Nebu Timbers via the website, LinkedIn, and Facebook. He even followed every review we received on Google Maps and recognized that this is truly a trustworthy company. Very quickly, Adam scheduled a visit and came to our sawmill in Cameroon on July 23th 2023.
Here, we had our staff greet Adam with hospitality, from transportation to introducing him to the mill. The visit only lasted for 2 days but that was enough for Adam to see how we process our dimensional lumber and kiln dry them with great care to ensure the best quality.
Upon returning from the trip, we discussed the contract further. Initially, he was reluctant about the payment terms, as we require a down payment of 20% of the total contract value.
However, Tim, our area manager, clearly explained why a down payment is necessary for us to handle customs clearance and cover shipping costs. We also assured Adam that we would provide weekly updates on the manufacturing process by sending him pictures of the wood.
Ultimately, we gained Adam’s trust, and he placed his first order of a 4ft container of Bilinga wood, six days after returning from the trip.
Feedbacks on the First Order
After the contract was signed, it took two months to complete the order, with every department at Nebu Timber working together to support Adam.
Our staff at the sawmill worked hard to ensure the best wood quality and meet every deadline:
- 25m3 of Bilinga lumber is finished after 10 days
- The Air drying process took only 15 days, ensuring the moisture content under 18%
- The shipping time from Cameroon to California is 1 month 10 days.
Additionally, during the manufacturing stage, we provided weekly media updates that consistently met Adam’s expectations.
Adam’s feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. “The quality of timber we receive from Nebu Timber is exceptional, making our job much easier and our products stand out” he says.
