FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about importing premium African timber from Nebu Timber.
Which ports do you export from?
Our primary exportation hub is the Port of Douala, Cameroon, which handles approximately 95% of our log and lumber shipments. For larger bulk vessels, we also utilize the Kribi Deep Seaport. This strategic access allows us to ship efficiently to major destinations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
What quality standards do you adhere to?
We strictly adhere to FAS (First And Seconds) grading rules for all our hardwood lumber. This ensures:
- 90% Defect-Free: Minimal knots, sapwood, or splits on the best face.
- Precision Cuts: Sawn to exact dimensions with proper over-measure for drying.
- Moisture Control: We offer both Air Dried (AD) (18-20%) and Kiln Dried (KD) (12-14%) options using our modern kiln facilities.
What is your supply capacity?
Backed by over 15,000 hectares of forest concessions and two active sawmills in Cameroon, Nebu Timber has a monthly export capacity of 50+ containers (approx. 1,500 m³). We maintain a consistent stock of popular species like Sapele, Iroko, and Padauk to ensure year-round availability for our contract partners.
What are your payment terms?
To ensure smooth operations and cover the significant upfront costs of logging and processing, our standard terms are via T/T (Telegraphic Transfer):
- Deposit: 30-50% upon contract signing to initiate production.
- Progress: Balance paid against production milestones (photos/videos provided) or upon presentation of the Bill of Lading (scan).
Note: We value long-term relationships and may offer adjusted terms for repeat partners after the first successful year of trading.
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our MOQ is 1 x 20ft Container, which typically holds between 22 to 28 cubic meters (CBM) of lumber, depending on the wood density and allowable road weight limits. For sample or trial orders, please contact our sales team to discuss specific arrangements.
What are your delivery timelines?
Delivery times depend on the order volume and destination:
- Production: 14-21 days for standard orders.
- Shipping: 30-45 days to Asia/Middle East, 25-35 days to Europe.
We provide full tracking and weekly status updates from the forest to the loading port.
Do you provide phystosanitary and legal documents?

- Certificate of Origin
- Phytosanitary Certificate
- Bill of Lading
